Whether it's our Italian wools, specialty threads, or custom buttons, we just wanted to give a little shout out to the deets that set our stuff apart and allow our Tailoresses to suit themselves to perfection.
Pockets
What’s special about the Pockets on an Alex and Eli blazer you ask? Well, we work hard to put unique pockets on each of out blazer designs, from slanted welts, asymmetrical flaps, to classic patch we’ve got a library of Variations. So go ahead, slip something cool inside; the topstitching and fun lining will carefully cradle all your random trinkets and favorite shade of lip stain.
Shoulders
No cold shoulder over here! At Alex & Eli we specially select each shoulder pad style to create that perfect fit for all of our blazer silhouettes. Our blazers are characterized by having a lovely slim shoulder, which not only flatters the form, but differentiates our blazers from the boys club.
Fabrics & Stitching
Yes, we like color, color that packs a punch and that’s definitely one of the primary hallmarks that defines the Alex & Eli sartorial vision. Since the launch of Alex & Eli we have made bold suiting statements via our super luxurious wool and wool blend fabrics. Whether we’re getting sassy with a hot pink gabardine, or just plain edgy with a limited edition ikat, Alex & Eli is here to offer some serious to die for textile choices.
Buttons
Button button, who’s got the button? We do! Our buttons are custom made from one of the last great button mills here in the United States. Yeah, there’s a unicorn and a lion giving each other a high-five on our pretty little numbers, but that’s not all… we define our suits by giving them surgeon sleeves. That’s right darlings, all of our buttons are working so you can go to town stylizing your blazer depending on what “suits” your fancy.
Lapels
Our lapels are top notch, that’s all there is to it. Each lapel has been specially developed to flatter the female form. With their gentle bowed scoop and varying notch details, this streamlined tailored detail is the epitome of what creates that perfect Alex & Eli look.
